Mode of action

BLUPRINS K™, organo-mineral fertilizer, represents the evolution of dormancy-breaking products. With its concentrated gel formulation, BLUPRINS K™ meets the winter chill requirement of fruit trees, stimulating them to exit dormancy.

When used on kiwifruit, table grapes, cherry, and peach trees, it standardizes and increases bud break and flowering, helping to enhance plant fertility and setting crops up to achieve higher yields and quality.

BLUPRINS K™ stimulates uniform metabolic activation of buds through two mechanisms:

  • it sends buds the same physiological signals the plant naturally receives after sufficient exposure to low temperatures;
  • it provides readily available nutrients (polysaccharides, amino acids, nitrogen) that promote enzymatic activity within the bud tissues.

Featuring a new, simplified activation formula, BLUPRINS K™ can be used with KEMICAL® L 918 or standard calcium nitrate: this allows to reduce application volumes and limit plastic packaging handling.
